technical characteristics and materials
The load-bearing part of the window sill consists of moisture-resistant DTD P3 + P5. This combination ensures high strength, dimensional stability and low swelling. We never use P2.
Moisture-resistand DTD: load-resistant, with low swelling and limited sagging.
Loading/stabilizing DTD: very high strength and stiffness for long service life.
The surface is made of CPL laminate, which is highly resistant to abrasion, UV radiation (colour fastness )and common household chemicals. Easy maintenance, faithful decor reproduction.

The underside is impregnated to prevent moisture penetration and twisting/stretching of the material. All joints are bonded with tested, certified and environmentally-friendly adhesives; we use white adhesive technology for laminate.

Covering the heater
Thanks to the material used, TOPSET window sills are ideal for covering heating, while improving the aesthetics and functionality of the interior. They create an additional practical storage area that can serve for various purposes. To ensure optimal heat flow, the window sill can be additionally equipped with a ventilation grille, which contributes to the efficient use of space and comfort in the room.

Sills are finished for aesthetic reasons, but primarily it is a functional prevention of moisture ingress into the exposed chipboard. When ordering window sills and in the shopping advisor, you can choose from the appropriate finishing options for each profile.
